Thee age-old saga between Northern rappers and Southern rappers has made it to 2020 in the form of French Montana of New York and Young Thug of Atlanta. Let us break it down for you
Twitter (as always) was the origin of it all, as it would be there where French would tweet
After receiving heavy backlash online French even took it a step further offering up a list of his hits.
It would be here where things would take a turn left, enter rap star Young Thug, who would chime in saying "Stupid ass nigga said he got more hits than Kendrick Lamar," on his Instagram story.
That didn't sit well with Montana who would upload this alleged photo of Young Thug in a skirt with the caption "HAD TO WEAR THE SKURT TO TUCK THE SCAT LINE UP HAVE CHANGED YOUNG THUG VS FRDNCH MONTANA HITS SINCE YOU WANNA JUMP IN SOME SHIT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU ! DONT TALK MONEY TO ME MY BOI !! THAT'S REALLY YOU UP THERE," Montana would later delete this post.
Thug has repeatedly denied this being him in this photo.
Montana would also post videos of Young Thug in a skirt in the "No Stylist" video which dropped in 2018. French followed that with saying, "Aye Thug man, thank you for wearing that skirt for me on “No Stylist.” You heard? Hold the cap. Fuck with you though. But, worry about 21 Savage before me and Kendrick, you heard?,”
Doing this really seemed to strike a nerve with Thugger who would then take the War of Word up 6 levels saying “French Montana, bitch ass nigga, Listen, bro. Get out of your feelings. I’m only speaking from an artist standpoint. You do not have nowhere near more hits than Kendrick Lamar, whatsoever. You probably won’t ever have more hits than buddy. So, get that out of your head. I don’t know what you’re taking, but get that out of your head.
Now in the bottom video Thug mentions talking to 21 Savage on the phone and saying that they are now on the same page. But 21 clearly didn't get the memo and responded by tweeting
In regards to wearing the dress in the video, Thug had this to say on IG "Third of all, that’s what I even get for fucking with niggas like you,I wore that dress in your video just to show love and support because I only put that dress on when it’s real…when I feel like it’s real love or I feel like this what it’s supposed to be. That’s the only time I do that type of shit. ’Cause I thought it was love, but that’s the thanks I get for fuckin’ with pussy niggas like you. But, it’s OK. I know you smoke dope.”
I don't even know what to say about that lol.
French would respond tweeting
Thug responded claiming that French really not a tough guy, even attempting to get Meek Mill to send him alleged footage of Montana getting knocked out. French said that there is no video even offering $1 Million to whoever can produce said video.
Then taking his exposing methods up a notch Thugger pulled up to French's old house to prove Thug's claim that French is a broke rapper. I'm guessing he was suggesting that maybe French can't keep up with his payments.
