The Rock Purchases the XFL For $15 Million

The Rock is always steps ahead of everyone. As a wrestler he was one of the first to turn into a prime time actor. Now as a investor he has purchased a entire football league and it's the XFL at that.

As you know the XFL was of to a great start and then Coronavirus took them out along with the rest of the world. They felt the effect so bad that they were heading towards bankruptcy, but that all changed when Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock walked in the picture.

Along with is partners Danny Garcia and Gerry Cardinale, The Rock was able to purchase the league before it was auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The Rock said "The acquisition of the XFL with my talented partners, Dany Garcia and Gerry Cardinale, is an investment for me that’s rooted deeply in two things - my passion for the game and my desire to always take care of the fans.". He continued "With pride and gratitude for all that I’ve built with my own two hands, I plan to apply these callouses to the XFL, and look forward to creating something special for the players, fans, and everyone involved for the love of football."

What's ironic is it was ex XFL owner Vince McMahon who gave The Rock his shot that launched him into stardom in the WWF and now it is The Rock who is saving Vince after the XFL announced they were up to $50 Million in debt.

Now we know that Smell the Rock was cooking was MONEY !
